Potty Training (in?) Progress

I feel like we have been working on potty training since Sof could walk!! She is doing well and has lots of "dry undies" days in a row! We have set back when she begins to get a cold or when there is a change in her schedule and routine. She seems to better at the sitter's (because they are so awesome over there!). I am going to post her proud-orange-painted-finger and toe nails from a few weeks ago. This is her reward for dry undies! Big girls can wear nail polish and of course choose their favorite color for it! Last night she fell asleep in the car and was in undies. She slept until almost 10 this morning! Naturally I have a bunch of bedding to wash today! I figure having her in bed asleep at a decent hour beats out a dry night! Desperate times....

Sad News

I am saddened to post this blog, but wanted to let everyone know, yesterday afternoon around 4:00 German's mother passed away. She was surrounded by family members in an ICU room in Ponce, PR. German, his father and his aunts was there as were her brothers. German flew down Sunday evening after hearing that she broke her hip and contracted an infection following the surgery. It was a blessing that German could be there, both to say goodbye and to support his dad. As it turns out Sofia and I are unable to travel down there in time for the service on Saturday and I feel like I need to do something, so I am posting some pictures of Abuela on some of her visits here over the past few years. I know most of you met her at our wedding and when they came up for Sofia's Christening. She loved her son and granddaughter very much and will be missed.
