Another fun visit!

The weekend following our trip to Boston, we enjoyed visiting with cousin Rob, his wife Michelle and their adorable 10 month-old, Kira! They were in the midst of a family vacation that included a trip to Niagara Falls, and had room for an extra two nights here in Rochester! Sof loved having her cousin around to play with and shared her toys reasonably well. (Preparing her for the possibility of sharing helped!) We loved sharing our swings and playing with bubbles! It was really nice to see the 3 of them, since we'd hadn't seen them since their wedding in July of '06 (?). Enjoy the pictures and hopefully we'll see future blogs from them??? Hint, hint, Michelle! :)

Boston Blog!

Two weeks ago Sofia and I had the opportunity to go visit Uncle Andy and Molly in Beantown! Much fun was had! From the novelty of travelling with just the girls (German was in Spain with 30 teenagers!) to walking in the rain and quacking like a duck, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! I think the highlight for both Andy and Sof was getting to drive the Duck Boat in the Charles River. (see Andy's blog) But we also enjoyed the aquarium, brunch with Bec and Frank and just wandering the streets of Boston. I loved seeing the spring flowers in people's yards and in entryways. The architecture and historic sites were interesting and I naturally enjoyed the extra time to chat with my bro and to see him in action with Sof, especially on the playground near Frank and Bec's! We are looking forward to another visit SOON!

Easter Festivities

We had a fun time this past Easter, even though it came so early, it didn't really seem like Easter. Putting winter coats on over cute Easter dresses, and still having St.Patty's day decorations out, really took some of the charm out. The weather this week seems much more Easter-ish which is probably why it has taken me this long to blog about it. Sof really had fun looking forward to the big day. She helped me get out baskets and plastic eggs and enjoyed seeing our spring decorations around the house, even though it was snowing! We dyed eggs the day or two before and made Easter cut out cookies and name cards for Gramma's table! We also had fun dressing Sof's Baby in a matching Easter dress. The day of Easter, Sof woke up to mail from the Easter bunny and directions on where to look for her basket and the 30 (or more-thanks to the helper who filled a ton, G!) eggs that were hidden! It was fun to watch her looking all over! We went to church and then to Gramma's where she got to look for more eggs! We had a wonderful dinner with Albertha and Deacon Dee and Sof enjoyed spreading the joy of the day!
